Restaurants We EnjoyThe Whistle Stop is a hop, skip, and a jump away from our establishment. We highly recommend them for breakfast (Huckleberry French toast! The French Connection Omelet!)! Also, if you are looking for BBQ, the Whistle Stop is the place to go (Baby Back [pork]! BBQ Chicken!). Serrano’s is quite the summer treat! Located on the other side of town, Serrano’s sells a variety of delicious Mexican food and Margaritas! This dinner only restaurant is about a three quarters mile walk from our establishment. If you’re completely full after dinner (Combinacion de California! Serrano’s Burrito!), be sure to make a trip the next night for dessert (Kahlua Cream Pie! Huckleberry Carrot Cake!)! Firebrand is located two miles west of East Glacier. Their dinner is definitely worth the drive! Off the edge of the Blackfeet Reservation, there are a handful of keno machines to play while you wait for dinner (Steak Sandwich! Thai Chicken Salad!)! Being one of the bigger local hangouts, you can be sure to be surrounded with friendly chatter and laughter! The Two Medicine Grill is another popular local hangout located on the main street. This is all the rage in the morning for coffee! On the other side of town, this restaurant pulls in many newcomers for breakfast (French Toast! Buttermilk Pancakes!) and for lunch (BLT on a Bagel! Huckleberry Milkshake!). The Glacier Villager is revamped, ready, and waiting for new customers from all over! Breakfast (Flat-Top Mountain! Avalanche Gorge!) and lunch (Joe Cosley’s Chicken Bacon Wrap! Charlie Russel Burger!) are the main entrees served. Connected to the Villager is a coffee shop for big city addicts. Luna’s Restaurant recently opened right across the street. It has warm friendly people and great home-cooked comfort food. Their Charbroiled burgers especially the salmon burger taste great after a long drive. Their best selling menu item Biscuits and Gravy is a fantastic start to any day in the park. Highly recommended especially if you would like a break from the car because it’s location is so convenient. Grocery StoresThere are two general/grocery stores in East Glacier. Brownies is located at the bottom of the hill (two hops, skips, and jumps from our establishment) and provides internet access. Brownies also has a delectable bakery (seriously, try the brownies!). The Glacier Park Trading Company is located on the other side of town (approximately three fourths of a mile from our establishment). Glacier Trading Co. has fresh produce and huckleberry everything! Gift ShopsLiving so close to Glacier National Park, we have tons of gift shops! We recommend you visit each and every one! The Spiral Spoon – hand carved spoons, wands, and everything in between! Give Jo, the mastermind, the chance to gab, and you’ll be there for hours! The Lodge – Not only a must see building, but the gift shop has beautiful souvenirs. The Old Goat – Has an array of Glacier National Park this and that’s for everyone of every age! |
